The Partnership for Arts and Humanities has been playing a role in our community since 1998, years before the Village Theater was completed in 2004. Our mission is to encourage the development of The Arts in the Greater Canton Community by providing artists with financial support, advocacy and education. This includes supporting the resident music and performing artist groups at the Village Theater and granting theater field trips for the Plymouth-Canton Community School district. The Village Theater is an enriching experience that offers performances for youth, seniors, couples and the entire family.
What does this mean for you? Here are some things to think about:
- A community with arts teaches and encourages creative problem solving, strengthening the ability to work with others and increasing our student’s self esteem.
- A community with arts learns skills in self expression, which develops more appreciation for the world around us and will lead to a more peaceful planet.
- A community with arts builds the next generation of arts and culture, which includes its patrons, performers and employees, which feed into providing our cities with a greater quality of life.
- A community with arts feels and connects with the story being told by the orchestra, band, chorale, symphony and performing arts production. It touches their soul and inspires them!
The Partnership for the Arts and Humanities understands the importance of The Arts and the significant difference it makes for people of all ages. If we work together, we can continue to keep our community thriving by making this investment. Join the Partnership for the Arts and Humanities Society and your tax deductible dollars stay here in our community. Your donation will benefit resident artist groups, as well as students in the Plymouth-Canton Community School district and more.
Please help us to spread the word and inspire our community’s faith and support of The Arts. Visit the Village Theater at Cherry Hill this season and let them dazzle your family! Theater tickets make the perfect gift all year round and the experience will last a lifetime.
Sincerely,
Jill Engel, Executive Director
