  • Henry Ford Village Industries - The Ford Cherry Hill plant began operations in July 1944 and served at least two purposes, to provide training and rehabilitation for returning was veterans and to supplement work at the Willow Run Bomber plant.
  • World War II Veteran's Dormitory - Situated directly south of the Henry Ford village factory on Ridge Road is the residence hall that housed 18-20 war veterans.
  • Nan Harrison Washburn, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor with the Michigan Philharmonic at the Village Theater
  • The Village Theater at Cherry Hill (owned and operated by Canton Township) is a 400-seat, premiere performing/visual arts and education center offering opportunities for all ages to experience the arts and culture as both participants and patrons.

Partnership for the Arts and Humanities

The Partnership for the Arts and Humanities is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) cultural arts organization that works in collaboration with the Canton Commission for Culture, Arts and Heritage.

The Partnership for the Arts and Humanities is committed to encouraging the development of cultural arts in our community by providing artists with financial support, advocacy and education.  It has awarded grants to the Village Theater artist groups (see grants) as well as cultural education events such as the African American History through Artists Eyes field trip for 5th grade students in the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools.  The Partnership may also fund national and regional acts as well as public art.

By contributing to the Partnership, you are helping to ensure high quality cultural arts are accessible to the Greater Canton Community.

June 29th Volunteer with the Partnership

The Partnership for the Arts and Humanities is committed to expanding the arts in Western Wayne and Eastern Washtenaw counties, especially now with its recent purchase of Henry Ford's Village Industry- Cherry Hill Site.

Canton Community Foundation Golf Outing

Join us for the Canton Community Foundation's 23rd annual Golf Outing on June 6th, at the beautiful Pheasant Run Golf course.

We had another rockin’ good time at our Partnership winter benefit on March 2nd!  We sold 344 tickets for the show and raised over $15,000 from ticket sales and sponsorships.
